The following is a guide to the various Apple iPod and other MP3 player models that have been manufactured over the years starting with the original iPod released in October of 2001. All Apple models covered from the classic, mini, shuffle, nano, special editions and 4th/5th generation video models. Most of the other manufacturers from Archos to Sony are also listed below.
